“I thinks Carol and Steve would make great parents. Oh god with Matt around I feel like I’m due for a harassment suit anyday now.” She chuckled before grabbing his hand,“You do realize that to some of us heroes who don’t have families it’s nice to have these get togethers… At least your not Grandpa Logan…” She chuckled it felt nice to enjoy something for the first time in what seemed like forever. “If you don’t want to throw a party maybe….” She paused looking down,“Maybe we could go out to dinner… My treat…”
“Well I agree with that. Their bickering is somewhat endearing - and they’re both mature, grounded, and now that Carol has me to support her she’s doing great. Oh did you expect me to be completely selfless there? Apologies.”
The moment she grabbed his hand, he looked at her with a calm, collected smile. “Grandpa Logan is someone no one wants to piss off, I’m sure. But you do have a point, the family thing… I guess in some warped way it’s our big christmas dinner that brings us all together - that is, if Galactus doesn’t schedule devouring the planet on Christmas. I don’t blame him, big guy must get hungry too."
Then the suggestion of dinner arose, he tilted his head with a heightened interested. "I couldn’t say no to a dinner with you, and you know that. Exploiting my weakness are we?”
